Dining on Main Street with Kids

Old Town stays on Booking put you walking distance from every name in this post. Park City's Historic Main Street is lined with restaurants, but not all of them want to see your three kids walk in at 5:45 PM. Here are our family-tested favorites that actually welcome little diners. Tyler and I have rotated through this list for years, and the kids have opinions on each one.
Casual and Quick
Good Karma - Indo-Persian street food that is fast, affordable, and delicious. The naan wraps are a kid hit, and the outdoor seating is relaxed. Perfect for a quick lunch between activities.
Davanza's Pizza - Big, cheesy slices kids devour. Simple, no-frills, exactly what you need when someone is about to have a hangry meltdown. "Saving the World, One Slice at a Time" since 1979 - they have earned the slogan.
Family Dinner Spots

Hearth and Hill - Our top pick for family dinners. The menu has something for everyone, the kids' options go beyond chicken fingers, and the atmosphere is warm without being stuffy. Reservations recommended.
Squatters Roadhouse Grill - A Park City institution with a big patio and a relaxed pub atmosphere. The kids' menu is solid, and parents can enjoy local craft brews. The Park City Brewing Bridger Bock is on tap most of the year - the lager, not the IPA - that is a hill I will die on. Bring a portable high chair if your toddler does not do booster seats.
Special Occasion
Handle - For a date night (get a sitter), this modern American spot is one of Park City's best. Small plates, craft cocktails, buzzy atmosphere. Sage and her partner trade kid nights with us a couple of times each winter and Handle is what we book.
Riverhorse on Main - If you want to bring older kids to a memorable fine dining experience, this is the place. The elk tenderloin is legendary.
Breakfast and Brunch

The Bridge Cafe - Cozy, friendly, and the pancakes are enormous. Arrive early on weekends - the wait can be long but it is worth it.
Five5eeds - Australian-inspired brunch with excellent coffee and avocado toast. Bright, airy space that feels welcoming with kids. Bring a travel coffee mug if you are grabbing and going. Make sure everyone has a good water bottle. Hydration at altitude is the difference between a good day and a meltdown by 4 PM. We never head out without a compact first aid kit in the bag. For the drive up, a pair of kids' headphones keeps everyone happy. We swear by packing cubes to keep the family organized.
One Real Local Note
Most of the splurge restaurants on Main are CLOSED on Mondays. Riverhorse, Handle, and a handful of others go dark. Davanza's, Squatters, and Hearth and Hill are usually open on Monday. Plan dinner accordingly. The number of times we have gotten caught walking up Main on a Monday at 6:30 with three hungry kids is more than I would care to admit.
